A wonderful example of the effect of real collaboration!
Perhaps it is not always clear how I, as director of Bread of Life, align my time and priorities with my role within Evangelical Poland. What if I tell you that such tensions hardly exist? Because, without my responsibility, not the least also operational and practical, within Bread of Life, my role within Evangelical Poland would be quite an “empty shell”. And vice versa, without all contacts within Evangelical Poland Bread of Life would be without a significant part of her active network in Poland. Both more and more difficult to imagine.
And therefore hereby a very nice example:
For this summer four mission teams from the US had promised to help with a large renovation project for Evangelical Poland, with a shift suddenly occurring throughout the project… while those Americans had already bought their tickets.
What do those people do? Cancel their journey, or adjust the plans? Adjust of course, because the possibilities to do wonderful work in Poland are countless!
And so it happened that these teams got deployed to various churches and organizations, including Bread of Life, and one of the local churches in Poznan, where this autumn a new, large distribution point will be started with Bread of Life…
And so a group of very motivated, loving people from the Carmel Baptist Church from the Charlotte region (where we already have several other contacts!) just “fell in our lap”! They were able to complete a final drainage project at the Tiny Homes and make all the technical preparations for the relocation of a new family to our New Life Center!
With new contacts to enjoy and to further expand!
