New heights and views in the Van den Berg Family (De Poolse Bergen)!
In August I wrote about the “Empty-Nest” syndrome for me. With Jadwiga moving to Toruń loneliness would threaten the “Poolse Bergen”… Well, that didn’t work out in any possible way!
In the period when Jadwiga moved out I received the wise advice from a number of good friends and one of my brothers, all about the same time, not to grow lonely in my flat. To open the door a crack, to open up for some new perspective for a relationship, with the possibility to find love again after my divorce in April 2023.
Without going too much into details … A tidal wave came over me through that crack in the door! In a way that defies all probability and unambiguously indicates that God had a wonderful gift for me (or rather: us!) in store, I came across Tatiana Muravyova on the internet. A most lovely woman who, like me, was looking for God’s new plans for her life, after she had to leave Minsk, the capital of Belarus, for her own safety more than a year and a half ago.
Just because of the way we met each other, and because we quickly wanted to face the consequences of our relationship for our daily lives, including the probability that Tatiana will move from Wrocław, about 180 km to the south, to Poznań, I didn’t want to let the grass grow under our feet and I confirmed my commitment to her: on October 11 we got engaged!
And so the “Poolse Bergen” revive with new heights and views – with new happiness and unimaginable gratitude!
