With Jadwiga to the UK, the most deserved holiday ever!
Last year Jadwiga had a new idea – I would take her and her best friend Julia on a short but beautiful trip through Sweden, looking for various film locations that they, as teenage girls, know much better than anyone else. It was a resounding success!
Now that both Jadwiga and Julia had passed their high school exams with flying colours, it was pretty obvious to try this idea again. This time to the south of England, on to a whole list of places that the girls had wanted to go to for years!
This time the smartest option was to take a low-budget flight to London-Stansted and arranging a rental car – especially because I didn’t really realize beforehand how much the ladies would let me drive around in England… But, we did tick off a pretty impressive list of sights! Will you join us?
Oxford with its various colleges, just only students and beautifully mowed lawns, two days in London with all kinds of film locations from Notting Hill or Paddington, but also of course Buckingham Palace, Big Ben and Tower Bridge. Or Windsor, Brighton, Winchester, Bristol, Bath, Torquay and Cardiff. And what about the famous Cotswolds Villages? And Stonehenge? Or the nature of the Seven Sisters, Dartmoor National Park or the Three Cliffs Bay on the Gower Peninsula in Wales… Are you still there?
The girls had more than deserved this holiday, after a year, what am I saying, years of hard work, and they really made most of it as they could… How wonderful could it be!? And I am more than grateful that this was possible!
