FAMILY MATTERS

Someone who knows African family traditions will not be so surprised. But it's still pretty bizarre – a few months ago we didn't know Judith, Alfred and Joseph, and now they call us “Mum and Dad”.

International students who came to Poznan and took us on as foster parents.

This way our active role in Poznan International Church is getting more and more out of hand, but we don't mind… For many years our family has formed a “home base” where no few months are the same, where different languages and cultures intertwine, where we constantly face challenges, giving love and care to those who need it.

We are grateful for all the good we were able to give to Kamila, and the last visit to her in Warsaw was encouraging. This on the occasion of the departure at Warsaw airport of Jonathan, who has left for Beijing for a couple of months, at the expense of a modeling agency, which has promised him a series of freelance assignments there. European models are loved in China, and Jonathan has the courage and flexibility to accept that challenge. We hope and pray that, despite the strange environment in all respects, he will be protected and find some independence.

Keeping up with her crazy parents isn't always easy for Jadwiga, but she's bravely hanging in there!

And another thing… Quite suddenly in mid-October Murek, one of our two dogs, passed away. And what happens in a family like ours? Salus, our collie and second dog, went on a hunger strike out of grief, and that didn't really end until we were able to pick up Dago, a flat coated retriever puppy. Those two love each other!
